Perfect Crispy Chickpeas

These Crispy Chickpeas are a favorite in my house for several reasons. They are deliciously addicting and healthy, incredibly easy to make and use pantry staples you already have on hand.

Crispy chickpeas are great as a snack or try sprinkling a handful over your favorite salad. Season them however you like and don’t be afraid to get creative. I used Trader Joe’s Everything but the Elote seasoning for this batch, and I have no regrets.

Crispy Chickpeas Ingredients

  • 2 15-oz cans chickpeas (garbanzo beans)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 2 tsp Trader Joe’s Everything but the Elote Seasoning Blend

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350°. Line a baking sheet with tinfoil (for easy clean up – skip if you don’t have tinfoil on hand)

Step 2

Drain chickpeas and pour into a strainer. Rinse thoroughly. Spread onto a towel and dry completely.

Step 3

Once dry, spread chickpeas on baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and toss to combine. Sprinkle with kosher salt and seasoning. Toss again to coat evenly.

Step 4

Bake on lowest rack of oven for 50 minutes, shaking pan every 20 minutes to rotate chickpeas and prevent burning. Allow chickpeas to cool completely on baking sheet. Store in an airtight container.
