I am a huge fan of using brown butter and toffee in just about anything, so no surprise these toffee chocolate chip cookies from Bon Appetit are a favorite of mine.<\/p>\n
These are next-level chocolate chip cookies, thanks to the use of chocolate wafers instead of chips. They spread as the cookies bake, creating thin pockets of chocolate in each layer, resulting in a chewy, chocolatey bite every time. Begin whisking the butter once it starts to foam and continue to whisk until it begins to brown. Allow to cool for 5-10 minutes. While butter is cooling, whisk the flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. Mix on medium-high speed until well combined, about 1 minute.
